Patient Experience Award

KOPV is delighted to have contributed to another recent Knowsley success.

The national Patient Experience Network National Awards (PENNA) are the first and only Awards programme to recognise best practice in patient experience across all facets of healthcare.  It was set up to help organisations recognise, shop share and celebrate their best practice.

NHS Knowsley won the award under the category ‘Environment of Care’ for its’ integrated strategy for improving service user involvement and experience.

A special event was held on 19th October 2011 at the Huyton Suite, case  to celebrate the award and demonstrate how our strategy works in practice.  The contribution made by a wide range of local agencies toward this success was also recognised through the awarding of certificates. The Mayor of Knowsley opened the event and Ruth Evans, Director of PEN, spoke about why Knowsley won the award.
