KOPV organise regular Roadshows to keep members up to date on various aspects of the Older People’s Strategy, especially progress of the various themed Work Streams. The Roadshows are a series of events which present the same information in a number of locations across the Borough. KOPV members are invited to attend their local event, but may switch to one of the other venues if their local event is not covenient for any reason. We try to ensure that the Roadshows are an enjoyable mix of Information, Questions, and Fun activities.

The Strategy themes featured on this occasion were Transport and Access to Community Services & Libraries. The programme also included a section on ‘Life Planning’ during which members were provided with a range of information including Making Wills, Power of Attorney, Funeral Plans, Age UK Life Book, and Living Wills. We are grateful to Chris Fazakerley and Gayle Woods of Maxwell Hodge Solicitors who led the first two of these.
We were also joined by members of the Area Relationship teams at each venue to receive information and ask questions about each locality.
