2011 Census

The Census is nothing new – for thousands of years countries have conducted a census from time to time to help them understand how many citizens there are, physician which areas they live, and the type of society they need.

In the UK we have a census every ten years. The last was in 2001, but a lot has changed since then. The census will help us to know how many more people live in England and Wales compared with ten years ago, what kind of people they are, and what services they need in their area. The census will take place on Sunday 27th March 2011.
